Review and reflection on the oral history recordings to date

Following feedback from the TUC Library, we added some topic questions, and the first of the new wave of interviews was carried out by Jim and Debbie, and then Jean and Mike.

We had approached Hibiscus Lodge in Stratford Village in December where Philip and Penelope had carried out interviews. Two new interview trainees joined us to shadow a pre-interview meeting with three elders at Hibiscus as a group interview discussion with tea and cakes. Marieta carried out the final interview at Hibiscus at the end of the month.

We received an email from TUC Library saying ‘a great interview! How many interviews do you have now?’ We now have nine interviews and are almost half way through the interview quota. As a Stratford Village resident and the project’s Community Liaison Worker this interview process enables a deeper insight into the demographics of my own neighbourhood which will be fascinating to a wide audience at the conclusion of this project.
