A really positive November Local Forum meeting

Two new volunteers attending, and great feedback on what we need to do to design a walk app that will do justice to the project.

One volunteer has researched the trades of over 700 residents in one street, using FindMyPast – and moreover started analysing the data! Alison has sent the first oral history transcript to TUC Library Archives for review and feedback. I am visiting local sheltered accommodation with a volunteer to meet some of the residents who may wish to take part in oral history interviews. A possible black cloud on the horizon – Newham Archives and Local Studies Library has limited its opening hours due to staff sickness – but fingers crossed the team will be back in the office soon.
