Yes, I worked at Bowling and Co, and Cullen and Co (another legal aid firm in Stratford on the other side of the road) and I alternated between one firm and the other firm, depending on the needs for the firm, where I was with pregnancy and childcare and things like that. It was not really very acceptable to work if you had children, it was becoming more so. It wasn’t completely accepted to have a career and certainly wasn’t thought very acceptable certainly by the older people. So there was very little in the way of childcare.
